Acrylates provide specialized functionality in monomer mixtures used to produce copolymer based adhesive and sealant products. They are frequently used in construction adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, labels, and UV cured resins for electronic components, optical bonding, and windshield chip and crack repair. They impart adhesion, flexibility, weatherability, internal plasticization, hardness control, and abrasion resistance, and resistance to oils and greases.
