Textiles

Acrylates are used as monomers in the production of copolymers for a variety of surface coatings.  They are widely used in coatings where they provide good water resistance, low temperature flexibility, and excellent weathering and sunlight resistance. These monomers are also used in specialty coatings for leather finishes for furniture, clothing, and articles. Polymers and copolymers produced from acrylic monomers are used in the manufacture of both woven and non-woven textiles.
